WhatsApp is opening a multi-device support, Welcome new WhatsApp API

WhatsApp has launched a public beta which lets you add up to four companion devices. At the same time, linked devices don’t need the phone to be connected to WhatsApp so each one is working alone even if your phone is closed or is not connected to any network.

Multi-device support feature of WhatsApp will make Maytapi more stable than ever before. That means that Maytapi can give high availability service to you. This is a new era and Maytapi is getting ready to provide multi-device supported API instances for you.

If you would like to join our multi-device program, please contact us for beta access via info@maytapi.com with which instance you would like to join beta with. If you are accepted to our multi-device beta program, we will convert your instance to a multi-device supported instance and inform you about how to join the Beta program of WhatsApp. There are a limited number of instances in our multi-device clusters.

Advantages of multi-device instances:

• Phone only requires an internet connection once every 14 day.
• Phone is not connected, phone battery low, trying to reach the phone problems are gone.
• Faster and more stable sending and receiving messages. Especially for media messages.
• In some edge scenarios some messages were not sync to Web-WhatsApp from the phone and we were losing these messages. Now phone connection is not in the pipeline and this improves stability exponentially for this phone to web-whatsapp sync problem.
• Now you can continue to use Web-WhatsApp alongside with our api integration. WhatsApp provides 4 slots for multi-device connections. Maytapi only needs one to work.

Currently some features does not work with multi-device instances:

• Type link messages are not working. ( Limitation of WhatsApp )
• Promote/Demote/Add/Remove participants from groups not working. This will be fixed in a short time.
• You should not disconnect the multi-device instance from our system. Multi-device instances can not load old conversations and messages so when a new multi-device instance is connected we can only crawl recent messages that multi-device instance loads. This does not cause a problem as long as you do not log-out the login from the phone.
